  2.       WinZip and PMZIP - Windows and OS/2 PM shells for ZIP files
  3.  
  4. Enclosed are the Shareware versions of WinZip and PMZIP.  WinZip is a
  5. Windows 3.0 shell for ZIP files.  PMZIP provides the same interface for
  6. the OS/2 Presentation Manager.  Both programs feature:
  7.  
  8.  - An SAA/CUA compliant interface for adding, deleting, extracting,
  9.    and viewing members of a ZIP file
  10.  - A list box with the names, sizes, and date/time stamps of all files
  11.    in the open ZIP file (double-click on a file to view it)
  12.  - Extensive online hypertext help/documentation (press F1 at any time)
  13.  - Push buttons for most commonly used actions
  14.  - Easy installation
  15.  - All options (including screen size and position) can be saved and
  16.    restored
  17.  
  18. WinZip requires the DOS version of the Shareware PKZIP/PKUNZIP product
  19. from PKWARE, Inc.  PMZIP requires the OS/2 version.
  20.  
  21. WinZip runs PKZIP and PKUNZIP in the background in Windows Enhanced
  22. (80386) mode, or as full-screen applications in Standard and Real modes.

  24. PMZIP always runs PKZIP and PKUNZIP in the background.  It makes use of
  25. some OS/2 features not available under Windows, including threads for
  26. faster execution and support for the File Manager drag and drop
  27. facility.  It also features a file search facility to locate selected
  28. files anywhere on a disk.

  30. Both WinZip and PMZIP programs are ASP Shareware.  They can be
  31. registered for $29 each.  Anyone registering either program in 1991 will
  32. receive a disk containing registered versions of both WinZip and PMZIP.
  33. Registrations can be made by check or charge card as described in the
  34. file ORDER.DOC.

  36. Disk Vendors approved by the Association of Shareware Professionals are
  37. permitted to redistribute WinZip, subject to the conditions in the
  38. license agreements, without specific written permission.  For further
